I am so excited to share this project with you all! This has been on my mind for so long and I think a lot of you will really enjoy this paper wood geometric design. It is really trendy right now and also a really great idea as a Father's Day card, so I decided to present it that way.
So, perhaps you’ve seen the geometric wood art online and, if you’re anything like me, you have always desperately wanted a piece of art in this style. Did you know it can get pretty pricey to buy a large work of wood art? Now you need not look any further to make your very own wood art replica.

I fancy the idea of doing one of these much larger and framing it, but for now I have assembled two small wood geometric design into cards.
Supplies:
- Light Gray Balsa Wood Paper
- Dark Gray Balsa Wood Paper
- Balsa Wood Paper
- Medium Brown Balsa Wood Paper
- White Embossed Wood Grain Cardstock
- American Crafts Jade Cardstock
- Bazzill Amber Cardstock
- Bazzill Granny Smith Cardstock
- Glue
- Double Sided Adhesive Foam

I chose to use the images #M38ADD and #M3A618 through Cricut Design Space but it will be just as easy to find an image online. Just search “geometric wood art designs outline” and you’ll see tons of patterns. I’d recommend you just trace a pattern onto the backside of your wood paper, then cut it out and assemble with glue. If you’re cutting with a Cricut machine you may have to increase the pressure. For example, I use a Cricut Explore Air 2 and was able to cut it perfectly using the “heavy patterned cardstock” setting, increasing the pressure a little, and adding an extra pass for the cuts.
This project is super simple but looks really impressive when completed. The balsa paper speaks for itself.
