Paper Fairy House + Tips for Curling Paper

Paper Fairy House + Tips for Curling Paper

Hello 12X 12 Cardstock Shop and Dreaming Tree fans! Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility, bringing you my monthly Collaboration between 12 X 12 Cardstock shop and Dreaming Tree!

This month I am bring you a paper fairy house called Butterfly Fairy House from Dreaming Tree. This was so fun and enjoyable to make! There are two others in this set to make and I can not wait to make those also!

This is the front of the Fairy Butterfly house. It is just so whimsical! I love the large butterfly. To attach the butterfly I used a flower stem from 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop but took the paper off the stem first. I thought it would adhere better.

Here you can see the detail of the flower and leaves more and the butterflies. I am really pleased how they came out. There are so many fun details on this paper fairy house.

One of the cutest aspects of this house is the roof. This photo really shows you the siding on the side of the house and the clever look of the roof! Isn’t it just so cute?

Here's a little tip for you if you decide to make this. If you want to achieve the look of the roof with the curl take a 3/8 inch dowel rod (or sometimes I just use a pencil if my dowel rod isn't present), and slowly and gently wrap it around the rod or pencil pulling back and up like you would curling ribbon for a package.

You then have your curl. Hope that helps everyone a bit. You can use this same technique to curl flower petals too.

Now I am off to start one of the other two. I might post them if I get some extra time. Thank you for looking! Have a great day!
