Slimline Money Holder Card Tutorial

Essentially you will be making a Slimline Card: front panel sized 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches, but this one has a small flap that is perfect for a cash/check gift.

Start with a heavy weight card stock cut to 8 1/2 inches by 9 1/4 inches.  Score the longer side (9 1/4 inches) at 2 1/4 inches and 5 3/4 inches.

Adhere the smaller flap on both ends with some double sided tape (or strong adhesive). (This is where you will be putting the money).

Decorate the front of your card as you would normally.  My daughter is graduating from college this year and green & gold are her school colors!

I can see this card idea as a great one to make for Christmas as well!

I love this and wanted to try it right away. I think the measurement is incorrect in the instructions. Should it be scored at 5 3/8 inches instead of 5 3/4 inches? Thanks for the fun idea. I can see getting a lot of use from this design throughout the year for birthdays, holiday gifts and tips for hair stylist, etc.
