Your Carriage Awaits at 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop
Each wagon wheel is cut out 10 times to stack on top of each other to make them sturdy to hold up. Then you use a brad to help hold them together in the center after gluing each layer on top of each other. When you do this the glue tends to warp the wheels. No matter what I set on these wheels as a weight, they still were warped. Then I got an idea, here is the trick! Brad and all, I put it all on my Big Shot board between the two cutting plates and ran each wheel through and back again. It flattened the wheel perfect and indented the brad and made it look perfect, in my opinion. HAHA!
The solids I used for the leaves and branches are as follows: American Crafts Cardstock in Spinach, Emerald, Evergreen and Cricket.
Here for the door window I used Bazzill White Translucent Vellum. I decorated with jewels I had on hand and plan on using this for a Thanksgiving centerpiece. I hope you enjoyed my project and it gives you some inspiration to maybe step out of your box and see what your stash can do.
