Pink Plaid Valentine Gable Box

Thu, Jan 14, 21 . Design Team

Hi all, Kelley here!

I hope your holiday season was a memorable and safe time for you and your families. Now I am so ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day! I have always loved Valentine’s Day and since becoming a crafter I have found a lot of joy in creating things for every holiday, special occasion, and accomplishments both big and small.

For this Valentine’s Day, I decided to make gable boxes for my daughter and all of her friends. It’s a simple project and very cute, thanks to the Bazzill Trends cardstock I used in Cotton Candy Buffalo Plaid.

Here are the materials and tools you will need to make the gable boxes:

  • Any 80lb - 100lb patterned paper – Check out the Bazzill Trends paper here
  • Craft glue
  • Scoring tool
  • Cricut Design Space Gable Box file #M3DDC3192

Don’t worry if you don’t have a die cutting machine! There are several free gable box templates online, as well as inexpensive gable box files that you can purchase on Etsy. Print it out, cut and trace over your cardstock of choice and once you’ve got two sides of your gable box cut, you’re ready to assemble!

All that’s left to do is score and fold each tab or side and use your favorite craft glue to secure. That’s it!
Once my gable box was complete, I decided to jazz it up by adding a few paper flowers, my daughter's name ,and of course I had to top it all off with a bow. Don’t you love how this turned out?
I can’t wait to get started on the other boxes and I know my little one will have so much fun filling these with yummy treats.
