This light-up Halloween sign is a cute and spooky way to greet your guests whether you’re having a party, passing out candy, or even just for fun!

Cricut Design Space Files: Rectangle, Circle, Mug Drip #M27D4627B + Haunted House – Any Free Template Multicolor

To get started let me walk you through some of the design work in Cricut Design Space. Start off by sizing your rectangular base. I used a 10-inch rectangle, and offset it. I took my Mug Drip #M27D4627B and welded it at the base of the rectangle to add the drip. Next, select your haunted house of choice and insert it. For reference, I sized mine at 6.348” and offset it, which was cut in holographic silver cardstock.

Next, type out the wording of your choice and offset each word three times. I used a cursive font for the top of the sign, and Monster Mush font for the bottom of the sign. I layered my fonts as follows: the top layer in Bazzill Berry Blush, the second layer in Mirri Matte Lava White, the third layer in holographic silver cardstock and the last layer in Mirri Lava Black. All these specialty papers make such a big impact.

In order to create the space for the LED lights, I made four circles and sized them to 0.48”. I placed my circles where I want my lights to be and grouped them together. Once I have my group of circles, I copy them for each layer beneath the haunted house top layer.

As you can see in the photo above, I begin selecting one group of circles with one layer and I hit attach. This attachment will allow the machine to cut out the circles on the layer. I repeat in the same location for the remaining three layers. I do not slice these layers, as once layers are sliced, they are unable to be adjusted.

Once I have all my items cut, I begin to assemble all the pieces. I used Bearly Art Precision craft glue as it has a precision tip and is easy to work with small pieces. I first assembled all my wording assembled, then I begin piecing together the haunted house, with double-sided foam adhesive, to give it a 3-D effect.

After the haunted house is assembled, move on to assembling the base. I attached the wording, the haunted house, and the characters with double sided foam adhesive.

The drip is adhered with craft glue. I again use double-sided adhesive foam to attach the black rectangular shape to the silver holographic, and a hot glue gun to adhere the LED lights in their position. I then attached an additional rectangle behind the base to cover the glue spots that may be showing.

To finish off my sign, I attached Horror Princess sentiments that I print & cut to complete the party’s theme. You can find tons of different spooky character sentiments on Cricut Design Space to add to your sign. ​
