Inked Strips Handmade Card Tutorial

Thu, May 19, 22 . Michelle Price

Our Neenah Classic Crest cardstock is known to be one of the best cardstocks for stamping and coloring with alcohol markers, but what if you don't like to color? Design Team Member Kate here to show you how to ink blend your Neenah cardstock for a beautiful monochromatic, ink-blended card.

Supplies:

First, I took a large floral image (any similar one you have would work), and stamped it with waterproof black ink, like Memento Tuxedo Black.

Next cut the panel into strips. They can be strips of equal widths, or like mine in decreasing widths. My measurements are 1 1/4 inch, 1 inch, 7/8 inch, 3/4 inch and the leftover piece which is just shy of 1/4 inch wide.

Next, take five shades of different ink (pinks or teals like mine or how about rainbow?) and ink-blend to your desired shade. Don't have lots of ink? Use varying amounts of the same ink to achieve your shaded strips.

Adhere the strips to your card front and add a sentiment for an almost one layer card whose colors can be changed up depending on the occasion.

If you make your own version of this card, be sure to share with us!
