How to Use Cardstock Scraps to Make Paper Confetti
Hi everyone, it’s April from Lilacpeaches Handmade. I’m going to show you a quick way to use paper scraps to make confetti!
Often times when creating a project, we have leftover paper that may be either too small to do a whole new project with, or we simply don’t want super cute cardstock to go to waste. This is a fun way to make confetti that matches your paper project.
For this project, I am using textured Bazzill in the following colors: Petalsoft, Sour Grape, Pollen and Turquoise Mist. You'll also need a 1" circle punch (mine is from EK Success).
Separate and sort your scraps into piles, I like to sort by color. Take your scissors and cut strips approximately one and a half inches wide.
Pick up your 1" hole puncher and start punching holes from one end of your cut strip to the other. I like to hold my tool with the punch out facing upward so that the cutting area is visible.
Repeat this step for all of your strips and voila! You now have matching confetti to add to your packages! I personally love to include confetti in orders so that it can be sprinkled around at events, and you can even use it as a photo prop when taking photos of your items. If you are a cardmaker, make matching confetti to include in the envelope with your card.
