Happy Haunting Glitter Cardstock Halloween Cake Topper
Hello, all! Who's excited for Halloween? *Eagerly points to myself*
Yes, I sure am.
I love walking into my favorite crafts store and seeing all of the new holiday decorations out right now. I'm not sure how this year's Halloween will pan out, but why not get into the festive spirit by creating this bright and hauntingly fun glitter cardstock Halloween cake topper! It's super easy and will jazz up any cake - whether it's a fancy schmancy treat from a bakery, or a homemade masterpiece, this topper is too pretty to toss!
Supplies:
- American Crafts glitter cardstock in Neon Green, Neon Orange, and Neon Purple American Crafts Pow! glitter paper in Charcoal
- Bazzill Rainbow Holographic Foil Paper
- Your favorite glue, foam adhesive and a hot glue gun.
- An acrylic stick, bamboo skewer or paper straw
I also highly recommend using a heavy weight cardstock as a base layer to keep this topper nice and sturdy. Check out the Bazzill Card Shoppe 100lb cardstock options.
Now, for my Cricut makers, you can find this file in Cricut Design Space #M2BDCE433. If you have another brand machine, you surely can search for a Halloween cake topper and use any file or die cutter that you love. It's a breeze to assemble once all your pieces have been cut.
I used foam adhesive under the stars and lettering to add dimension and I think it really helps this topper pop! If you decide to give this project a go, let us know! Switch up the colors, add a spider or ghost, snap a pic of it on a cake and tag @12x12cardstock on Instagram or @12x12 CardstockShop on Facebook.
I hope you enjoy making this glitter cardstock Halloween cake topper as much as I did! Check out my Instagram @paperslittlehelper for more fun toppers and party decor!
