Easy Handmade Winter Card With Basic Shape Dies
If you haven’t already noticed, Design Team Member Kate is trying hard to repurpose her craft stash and use what she already owns in creative ways. Today she's here to share an easy handmade winter card using supplies you probably already have on hand. This handmade card idea uses simple dies to make some adorable snowmen.

Snowman Easy Winter Card Tutorial
For this card Kate used basic shaped dies; a 2 3/4 inch circle die and a rectangle die measuring 2 3/4 inch x 4 1/8 inch. She cut both from white cardstock.
Next she trimmed some strips of cardstock to 3/4 inch for the scarf. The main part of the scarf is as wide as the circle (2 3/4 inch) and the tails of the scarf are trimmed to your desired length. Our black pearls double as coal eyes and a small scrap of orange cardstock makes for the carrot nose.
Kate embossed the night sky background with a snow embossing folder.
Once you have this basic design down, you can change up the colors and add little accents to make these cards unique.
Use patterned paper for the backdrop, add a sentiment, or use some patterned paper scraps for a colorful scarf.
