Easter Handmade Card Idea Using Die Cuts

Thu, Mar 13, 25 . Lynette Southwick

Design Team member Kate is back with a quick idea for your word dies just in time for Easter! Pull out your cardstock and let's make some handmade Easter cards using die cuts together.

Kate has been on a mission to use what she already owns. Today she has an idea for using word dies.

The first card uses the easter word die as it was designed. She cut a base layer from white and cut the word EASTER in 6 pastel shades of Encore Textured Cardstock. She cut apart every pastel letter and layered them onto the white word base.

This orientation of the word EASTER is how the die was originally designed to be used (horizontally).

The second card follows the same process, but instead of one solid word, Kate cut the letters apart and arranged them vertically.

Same die but a totally different look! Think about cutting apart your word dies and orienting them differently onto your card front. Using a large die cut word is a great start to a handmade card.
