Let's Scrap Those Christmas Photos!

Thu, Dec 31, 20 . CHRISTI STEINBECK

Are you thinking, more Christmas?  Those of us that scrapbook are just printing and getting our pictures from this Christmas, so here is a layout to maybe inspire your creativity and hopefully get you ahead on your scrapbooks.

Here are the supplies I used to make this layout:

Confession time!  These are NOT my 2020 Christmas photos but my 2017 Christmas photos.  If we are going to get REAL about it, I am about 20 years behind.  HAHAHAHA.  I do try to stay more up to date with the more recent photos I get printed, even if it is from 2017.  LOL

I make sure to always journal on my layouts.  If it is a tag, paper strips, a journal box or any other way you can think of to journal, it is so important for our future generations to know who, what, when and where each layout was about.  I personally handwrite my journaling as my kids have requested that I do that, but if you prefer you can type yours or even use a quote from a favorite author.

Do you journal?  Tell me in the comments below.

When I picked the cardstock and colors out, I wanted to make sure my pictures stood out and didn't get lost.  I find if I highlight the colors in the the photos but do not over do it, and use small pieces, not one large piece of cardstock, it breaks up the layout and points the focus onto my photos.  Hence another reason I like to use ribbon and buttons on my photos.  They "highlight" my photos instead of burying them.
I also like to personally mat my photos.  This again makes your photos "POP" off the page a bit more and not get lost in all the other activity happening on the page.
I hope you have enjoyed my after Christmas layout and I have inspired you to print and get going on your 2020 Christmas photos.  Remember, 12 X12 Cardstock Shop can help you make the best layouts you can dream!
Until next time-
Christi
