44 Cards With ONE Scrapbook Kit

One of my most favorite things to do (and the easiest ways for me to get out of a creative rut) is to make cards using a scrapbooking kit.  The Dear Lizzy Serendipity 12 x 12 Collection kit has it all: floral, geometrics, tone on tone...it's so versatile!

Here's my process to make a stack of cards from one scrapbook kit:

I start with the cut apart cards.  I design cards based on the focal point and set aside the parts I won't use (make sure you keep those parts--they are often double sided and can be used in some other way!)
Next, I pick my favorite papers.  The floral background is stunning!  I normally enjoy fussing cutting images, but this paper was difficult to cut apart.  So I did the next best thing.  I cut it into strips.
For the hello card, I cut 3/4 inch strips and popped them up with foam adhesive.  The Happy Birthday card uses 1/2 inch strips glued directly to a panel.
Adding a sentiment diecut from Rose Gold Bazzill Mirror Foil Board really adds a touch of elegance.
Lastly, I go through my stash of stamps, diecuts and svgs to see what I have that might match the papers.  The triangles made me think of sprinkles (hence, the cupcakes) and I knew I had a camera stamp that would match the camera paper.  The marble paper screamed "globe" to me.  The globe design is a design I always go back to, since it is such a classic design.
Any sheets leftover become everyday cards with simple sentiments (like hello or smile cards).
I made 44 cards with this kit and still had 1 1/2 sheets plus left to make extra cards! If you want to use up a scrapbook kit, a stack of cards is the way to do it!
